As part of the national Tarmac business and the global CRH group, we offer the stability of a major organisation with the agility and culture of a close-knit team We’re currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our friendly and professional team, based in Walthamstow and North London . This role is easily commutable from a wide range of locations including Wanstead, Stratford, Hackney, Enfield, Barnet, Chelmsford, and more What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the commercial success of our Highways, Infrastructure, and Civils Maintenance projects. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and mentoring Quantity Surveyors while supporting the Commercial Manager and Managing QS Managing commercial projects from pre-contract to completion, ensuring profitability and accurate forecasting Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams Handling subcontractor tender enquiries, awards, and monthly payment assessments Producing monthly CVRs and client/internal forecasts Managing final accounts and ensuring compliance with Riney and client processes Supporting cash collection and accurate valuation of completed work What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you’ll need: Essential: A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying Essential: Experience with NEC TSC and ICC Term Contracts Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities A process-driven mindset and a collaborative approach In this role you will be in liaison with stakeholders across the businesses of Riney, Tarmac and CRH A car / car allowance is available with this role and therefore you must hold a FULL UK car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points - You must be able to travel across the region of work Ready to take the next step in your career?
