Electrical Product Design Engineer

Our client is a fast growing, forward thinking renewable energy manufacturer who provides UK businesses a way to control their energy cost whilst also reducing the impact their energy use has on the environment. Our client helps provide businesses a long-term solution through a combination of energy efficiency and energy generation products and expert energy advice, by bringing energy intelligence to their customers enabling the development and installation of long-term solutions allowing their business to continue its development free from energy worries.
Due to business growth they are now seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for solar PV and EV installations, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications. Using industry standards and best practices, the Electrical Design Engineer will create technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for each project. The Electrical Design Engineer will also collaborate with other engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of the electrical design and installation. The role will require occasional site visits and inspections, as well as keeping up to date with the latest technologies and regulations in the field. The Electrical Design Engineer will contribute to the company's innovation and growth by delivering high-quality electrical solutions that meet the client's needs and expectations. Designing and developing electrical systems for solar PV and EV installations, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications
Creating technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for each project
Collaborating with other engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of the electrical design and installation.
Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and regulations in the field
Assisting Sales, Contracting and O&M divisions with technical designs
Contributing to the company's innovation and growth by delivering high-quality electrical solutions that meet the client's needs and expectations.
Communication with client pre, during and delivery
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.This role demands a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in electrical engineering and design. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of solar PV and EV systems, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications. The candidate will be proficient in using various software tools and applications for electrical design and engineering, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble etc. Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design and engineering
Experience in solar PV and EV systems, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure applications.
Experience in using various software tools and applications for electrical design and engineering, such as AutoCAD, Trimble.
Experience in HV design
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Full UK Driving license
Project Management Qualification
