Nursery Nurse

Are you a Level 2 / 3 trained Teaching Assistant or a Nursery Nurse Level 3? We are currently recruiting for candidates to work within nurseries in the Truro area. The ideal candidate will be available Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm during term time. You will need to have previous experience working with EYFS. The ideal candidate will have access to their own transport. You will be required to be confident when going into different educational environments and be able to build relationships and trust quickly. You will need to be creative and want to get involved with activities, helping to make them engaging and exciting for the students. You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will need to communicate and work effectively within a team. You will be required to work with students within small groups and as a team with larger groups. You will need to help monitor the children’s progress and communicate this to the nursery manager and parents. It is important that you have a caring and friendly approach to work to ensure the children feel comfortable and that a safe environment is created. Experience and knowledge of creating effective and engaging group learning activities is important to help encourage social development and communicate skills. You will also need to be aware of will be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. Organisational and time management skills are very important in this role as a lack of these skills could distress the students. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.
