Here at BurnsSheehan, we are working with a leading innovator in the Environmental Sustainability space who are searching for a Senior Security Engineer to join their ever-growing team as they embark on a 5-Year Digital Transformation.

As the Senior Security Engineer you will be responsible for monitoring and protecting the organisation's systems and networks. and will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating security risks, implementing security responses, and monitoring for potential threats.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic design of security protocols and policies and implement, review, and maintain governance of IT security policies and procedures.
  • Act as an ambassador for security within the business, aiming to foster a secure culture.
  • Oversee daily security operations to ensure prompt resolution of security incidents and support various security projects.
  • Take ownership and accountability for the delivery of security services to the business.
  • Monitor our networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions and investigate any security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to security best practices.

Essential Requirements:

  • Microsoft, Azure, and MS public and private cloud certifications.
  • Knowledge necessary to propose relevant security responses to changing business and project risks.
  • 3 years of work experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Detailed understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
