This established children’s residential home provides a therapeutic and nurturing environment for young people aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home is committed to promoting positive development, safety, and wellbeing through a compassionate, values-driven approach.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to lead shifts and provide high-quality care for our young people. You will support daily activities, education, and statutory meetings, ensuring a consistent, therapeutic approach. This role includes supervising and mentoring staff, maintaining high standards within the home, and safeguarding the welfare of all residents.

Lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality care in line with regulations.
Support young people’s daily routines, education, therapy, and personal development.
Implement care plans, risk assessments, and LAC documentation, attending statutory meetings as required.
Safeguard young people, respond to challenging behaviours, and promote positive outcomes.
Build strong relationships with families, social workers, and external professionals.
Contribute to staff induction, training, and professional development.
NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (essential)
Good standard of English (written and spoken)
Supporting young people aged 8–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties
Leading shifts and supervising staff teams
Experience with ASC, mental health, or complex needs (desirable)
Resilient, empathetic, and able to handle challenging behaviour
Flexible, person-centred, and committed to safeguarding
