Bolton Greater Manchester, United Kingdom AO Full time

Job Overview About The Role We’re looking for a performance focused Marketplace Specialist to take ownership of our performance across third-party platforms like Amazon, eBay, and OnBuy. You’ll be the go-to person for making sure our marketplace strategy delivers results - whether that’s through smart promotions, strong relationships, or operational excellence. You’ll also manage one team member, helping them grow and succeed while keeping everything running smoothly. This role is all about driving visibility, conversion, and profitability - while keeping AO’s values front and centre. Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we we’re together Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing Managing and optimising performance across key marketplaces to hit commercial targets. Planning and delivering promotional activity- like eBay coupons, Amazon Prime events, and seasonal campaigns - to boost visibility and sales. Owning relationships with marketplace account managers and internal teams across commercial, marketing, and operations. Line managing one AOer, providing coaching, development, and performance support. Keeping a close eye on competitor activity and marketplace trends to inform strategy. Supporting the rollout of new tools, processes, and platforms to improve efficiency and performance. Delivering clear, timely reporting and insights to stakeholders on marketplace performance and opportunities. A Few Things About You You’ve got experience managing marketplace channels and know how to drive commercial success. Promotional planning, campaign execution, and performance optimisation are all in your toolkit. You’ve led or supported others before and enjoy helping people grow through coaching and feedback. With a sharp eye for trends and competitor activity, you’re always thinking ahead. Reporting and insights come naturally to you—you know how to turn data into action. A Bit About Us When it comes to appliances and electricals, we’ve got the lot. Washing machines? Yep. TVs? Check. Laptops? Absolutely. Everything except doorbells (just kidding, we’ve got those too). We’re known for helping our customers brilliantly - and it’s no different for AOers. We care about more than what’s on your CV, because together we can do extraordinary things. Our Benefits Our benefits are designed to cover the moments that matter to AOers. From health and wellness to giving back - you’ll be rewarded inside and outside of work. Holidays; 25 days, plus bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 2 years with us) Pension; Contribute 5% of your annual salary and we'll do the same, giving you a little extra support for the future. Be a VIP at the AO Arena; we have loads of opportunities to win free tickets and pre-sale access Health & wellbeing; discounted gym membership, an onsite spa and our Help @ Hand scheme giving you access to virtual GP’s, Mental Health support and much more. Discounts; exclusive discounts across our product range. Family leave; Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave.
