Job Title: Software Development Engineer Salary: £50,000/+ Benefits: To be discussed at interview Job Type: Permanent Location: Coventry, West Midlands Job Start date: ASAP Shift Pattern: Days We’re currently supporting our client, a machine solutions manufacturer, based in Coventry, West Midlands, in their search for a Software Development Engineer. Position Overview: Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software Development Engineer. The role centres on the development of Windows desktop software to support manufacturing projects in a variety of industries including aerospace, gas turbine and gear grinding. This is an opportunity that will allow you to create and mould a software package that will keep evolving for your customers. Responsibilities for Software Development Engineer:

  • Develop Windows desktop engineering software to support and enhance manufacturing projects.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Software Manager and a team of production engineers to ensure the software solution meets process specifications.
  • Maintenance of existing C# software applications; including bug-fixing and adding new functionality.
  • Support existing customers in the use of new and existing software.
  • Visit customer facilities, both in the UK and Europe, to allow analysis, design, and installation of Windows-based engineering software.
About You:
  • Ideally qualified to degree-level in a software or engineering discipline.
  • Working knowledge of C#.
  • Experience using MS Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and machine tool controls would be very advantageous.
