We're seeking a passionate and talented Creative Technologist specializing in React Native (with Expo) to join our small but mighty team on a contract basis (with opportunity to go perm).
In this role, you'll be instrumental in crafting cutting-edge mobile experiences that challenge the limits of what's possible with React Native, focusing on front-end development and innovative UI/UX implementation.
Create smooth, performant animations that enhance the user experience
- Optimize app performance to ensure a seamless experience across various devices
- Stay updated with the latest trends in mobile front-end development and React Native
- Take ownership of significant parts of the front-end development process
Advanced proficiency in React Native, JavaScript & Expo
- Expert-level experience with React Native animation libraries and techniques, including:
- Reanimated /Moti for complex, gesture-driven animations
- React Native Gesture Handler for advanced touch handling
- React Native Skia for high-performance 2D graphics
- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and ability to implement pixel-perfect designs
- Proficiency in performance optimization techniques for React Native apps, including:
- JavaScript thread optimization
- js for potential 3D elements in the app
- Experience working in small teams or independently on significant front-end projects
Chance to push the boundaries of what's possible with React Native front-end development
- Flexible contract work arrangement with scope of going perm for the right person
