A R T L I F E - Who we are.

ARTLIFE Studio is an independent art school located in Buckinghamshire and was set up to nurture the natural creativity of children and young people across all disciplines of Art and Design.

The studio offers a true art education with a difference. Students are encouraged to come and explore how to push their creative boundaries through intimate fun structured classes that educate and stimulate key areas of creative ability in children and adults aged 4 years and above. For us it is the process, not the end result, that is fundamental to the understanding of experiencing what it is to produce “Art”.

Teaching Assistant Role - What we are looking for

The duties as a Teaching assistant require supporting the lead teacher in a variety of ways in the studio, from preparation for every session to assisting the children and offering them support. You will be trained on language, approach and techniques which will then be passed down to the children throughout sessions.

Knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding information is included in your employee handbook with all the necessary information, it is compulsory that you take the time to read this.

Required Skills

Individuals need to be friendly, confident, interactive and supportive of children of all ages and abilities, have an interest in Art and creativity, be reliable and punctual and able to work as part of a team. Previous experience with children is welcomed but not essential.

The ability to travel/commute to the studio by own means..

  • - Shadowing the children and advising throughout lessons
  • - Set up and cleaning before, during and after your shift

  • Hourly rate/Pay is dependent on candidates' experience - £8.70 - £13ph
