40 Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this role is to manage the price change and promotion process systematically and provide critical support to the Commercial Operations Manager in delivering retail projects. The purpose of this role is to manage the price change and promotion process systematically and provide critical support to the Commercial Operations Manager in delivering retail projects. Responsible for planning and pricing & promotions, you will ensure pricing accuracy and the smooth execution of promotional activity across JD Outdoors. This involves working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, and Retail Operations teams to maintain system integrity, manage critical paths, and deliver operationally feasible price changes. Acting as a key link between central commercial operations and the wider business, the role also contributes to reducing loss, improving stock accuracy, and driving process enhancements. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with commercial awareness and project management expertise to deliver results in a fast-paced retail environment. Manage critical path for Pricing and promotions
Monitor pricing and promotions issues and act speedily to resolve
Work with Retail Ops to ensure price change volume is deliverable from an operational perspective
Supporting the Central Commercial Operations Manager to deliver key retail projects on time and to budget
Liaise with the wider business and represent the Outdoor division in group projects
Work with Retail team to reduce loss and improve stock accuracy Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
