Job Description:

Experience in the use of mechanical design packages. (NX, Inventor)

Desirable experience of requirements management processes. (DOORS)

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and 3 years of relevant engineering experience.

Concepting and design development of the structural module frame.

Module kit of parts concept development and optioneering, including barrier walls, drainage etc. Leading to the down-selection of preferred solutions to be taken forward for detailed design.

Produce supporting documentation packages in line with the customer process requirements.

Full design process input for modular sub-systems.

Definition of mechanical systems from initial concepts through to the detail design stage.

Cross functional stakeholder engagement and management.

Complex requirements management, pulling together many transverse inputs and producing design solutions that satisfy all areas.

In depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques and how these can drive design solutions.

Application of codes and standards through design, safety case engineering, requirements management, systems engineering methods, and verification and validation.

Work as a key interface with design, manufacturing, and the supply chain in ensuring clear communication and integration.
