I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who are specialists in property development and restoration projects within the construction sector. They have a great reputation and build very interesting projects on unique build types. They now seek a site manager to join them on a very new and exciting project, ideally from 1st July 2024. This particular opportunity, will be a temp to perm role. Whilst starting off freelance, the day rate is negotiable between £260-£300 per day DOE. Then if successful will go permanent after a couple of months in which the salary and package at that time will be discussed. The project will be based within Portsmouth, Hampshire, and is expected to last approximately 5-6 years.
You will be employed as a site manager based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. The build is a total of 209 units, consisting of converted properties, and new build properties, on a grade 2 listed gothic-style building. This really is a unique and exciting project to be a part of. Your day to day responsibilities include: managing trades, managing programmes, working closely with an assistant, ensuring everything is to budget, chairing internal and external meetings, completions and CML's, snagging, toolbox/induction talks and ensuring the health and safety is of high priority across the site.
You must have SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid in date to be considered for the role. They are looking for somebody with at least 5 years’ experience, who has built converted properties and new build properties before to a high quality standard and in volume. You must be a strong leader, have excellent communication skills and be IT proficient.
