At AX, we are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Data Engineering Lead you will have a strong background in data analysis, team management, and expertise in utilizing various Microsoft BI tools and cloud-based technologies including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory and lakes and curated business models.

AX is an accident assistance and after care service provider who deliver replacement vehicles to customers who have been involved in non-fault accidents.

As our Data Engineering Lead, your responsibilities will include:

Provide leadership, guidance and support to team members, ensuring the successful execution of projects and tasks.
Provide guidance and support to the wider business including Business Intelligence teams to utilise data to drive decision making (using PowerBI and other Microsoft tooling).
Data Analysis and Modelling

Utilize SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS to design, develop, and implement robust reporting and analytics solutions.
Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business improvement.

Demonstrate expertise in Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory/Lakes for data integration, orchestration, and management.
Implement and optimize data pipelines for seamless and efficient data flow within the Azure ecosystem.
Demonstrate expertise in the extraction of data from Dynamics to build and enhance curated business models in Synapse/PowerBI
Ensure data security, compliance, and best practices are followed in Azure cloud environments.
As our Data Engineering Lead will bring the following skills and experiences to our team:

Proven experience as a Data Engineering Lead with a minimum of 5 years in a team leadership role.
Expertise in Microsoft BI stack, including SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure cloud services.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement curated business models for reporting and analysis.
