Our client is a PE-backed, professional services group - evolving their group functions across a growing portfolio of businesses. They have multiple businesses in the East Midlands but also in London. They are looking for someone who can work in one of their offices at least 2 days per week. They are offering a 12-month fixed-term contract, with view to going permanent.
The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging business objectives and technology delivery within group. Working closely with Finance, Client Services, and IT functions, the Business Analyst ensures that technology initiatives—such as CRM, ERP, and client reporting system implementations—are aligned with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency goals. The role focuses on gathering, analysing, and translating requirements into clear, actionable specifications that deliver measurable business value and enhance client experience.

Collaborate with finance, compliance, and operational leaders to define and document business requirements for new systems, integrations, and process improvements.
Translate complex regulatory and operational needs into functional and technical specifications for developers and vendors.
Partner with project managers to define scope, deliverables, and success criteria for accounting, CRM, and client service technology initiatives.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit and validate business requirements across multiple service lines.
Support the design of solutions ensuring alignment with audit, financial reporting, and compliance obligations.
Document business process flows, data mappings, and system interfaces for core systems such as Microsoft Business Central, Intapp, and CRM tools.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) including the creation of test scripts, coordination of testing cycles, and resolution tracking.
Develop user guides and operational documentation to support implementation and post-launch adoption.
Contribute to business case development and benefit realisation tracking for system investments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
~3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, accounting, or wealth management environments.
~ Experience documenting business and functional requirements for ERP, CRM, or portfolio management systems.
~ Strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting processes (e.g. Exposure to system implementations such as Microsoft Dynamics, Intapp, or CCH/Business Central.
~ BCS Diploma in Business Analysis, IIBA CBAP, Agile BA) preferred.


Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret financial and operational data.
Ability to develop clear business cases and quantify expected ROI for system initiatives.
Curiosity and drive to understand evolving financial technology trends.

Understanding of accounting systems, data structures, and integration concepts.
Knowledge of data governance, information security, and architecture standards relevant to financial systems.
Familiarity with SQL or reporting tools for validating data and reports.
