As our Finance Team Leader you will be responsible for the Transactional Finance Team and will lead the Company's transaction and control activities.
You will ensure the purchases and payables ledgers are accurately maintained and be responsible for reviewing VAT returns and balance sheet reconciliations.
The position of Finance Team Leader will be key in supporting the delivery of a robust control's environment and accurate and timely management information.
In addition to this as our Finance Team Leader you will be responsible for:
Managing the transactional finance team.
Reviewing supplier data changes and payment proposals, ensuring accurate and timely payments are made.
Maintaining supplier GRNI balances and reviewing and authorising supplier statement reconciliations.
Responsible for Accounts Receivable processes and adherence to internal controls.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate fixed asset register.
Reviewing and challenging a full suite of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis with ensure sufficient explanation for Finance Director review.
Writing / reviewing of standard operating procedures for the Finance.
Excellent interpersonal (written and oral) and people management skills.
Extensive use and competent user of advanced Excel.
Experience of working with data, ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained.
Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Previous experience communicating with overseas operations and dealing with multiple currencies.
Experience of working within a results driven environment with skills in managing both core processes and bringing a creative and innovative approach.
Project management skills and ability to manage financial/specialist change projects.
Good understanding of risk and ability to identify potential risk and ensure management are well informed to assist decision making affecting the department or Company.
Demonstrable understanding of corporate governance and legal requirements.
Good working knowledge of financial practices and GAAP (UK/IFRS).
Experience in a metrics focused environment including weekly and monthly reporting and analysis.
