Principal Java Engineer Role - Inside IR35 - Initial 6 Months - 1 day onsite p/w

Principal/Lead Developer

Location: Hybrid - Central London (1 day/week )

Rate: £850-900 per day

Contract: 6 months (project duration: 27 months)

We’re looking for a Principal Engineer to lead a dynamic team working on a cloud-based market infrastructure service. In this role, you’ll drive technical strategy, build resilient solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. This is a long-term project with opportunities for growth.

The ideal candidate with have extensive experience within the financial services domain.

Key Skills:

  • Leadership in Agile teams
  • Experience working with Data, concurrency and multithreading
  • Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Advanced Java (Java 17+), Spring Boot
  • SQL, AWS (Aurora, IAM, S3)

Nice to Have:

Experience with Scala and ReactJS.
