We are currently recruiting for an IIE for a 6 months contract. The Offshore Inspection Engineer will report directly to the onshore Integrity Engineer and will be responsible for the competent inspection, reporting and evaluation of client in-service equipment. Provide primary interface between the inspection and integrity engineering teams
Perform in-service inspection of client static equipment, as assigned by the Integrity Engineer, including pressure vessels, columns, drums, heat exchangers, boilers, coolers, tanks, valves and piping systems throughout the plant
Carry out initial inspections, observing condition and makes preliminary interpretation, following the relevant client specifications and ensuring compliance to the written scheme, the facility safety case
Assist the Integrity engineer with the management of temporary and permanent repairs
Work closely with the Project Engineers as well as Maintenance and Operations team to maintain plant regulatory compliance, effective executive of shutdown, turnarounds and production targets
Prepare NDT Scopes of Work, co-ordinate and supervise plant and NDT inspectors to meet the plant’s safety and quality requirements
Certification in Plant Inspection to ASME Level 2 or holds API 510 / 570
Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (i.IRATA Rope Access – (level 1, 2, or 3)
Current NDT Certification in conventional NDT methods at Level 2
Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data sets used in support of inspection activities
Sound understanding of basic FM processes such as welding, composite repairs, joint integrity, insulation, blasting and painting.
Offshore survival Certification (BOSIET/FOET, UKOOA Medical, MIST,EBS)
