TRANSPORT/PLANNER/SCHEDULER

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Transport Planner, to join the Transport Strategy team.
We are looking for someone who understands regional and national transport policies and professional best practice, as well as having experience in the formulation of transport strategies and policies in a local government context. This role will be pivotal in helping to deliver the priorities of the Mayor by:
Supporting the development of our transport strategy and policies of the West of England Combined Authority and provide transport policy input into wider strategies, such as the Regional Transport Strategy and the forthcoming Spatial Development Strategy.
To help develop, progress and deliver transport strategy projects within the region to ensure the Mayoral Combined Authority fulfils its functions as Transport Authority for the West of England.
To help manage and deliver supporting policies and projects including the Electric Vehicle strategy, Rail, Bus and Active Travel strategies.

We are based in a new bright and airy office, with all the latest technology, close to Bristol Temple Meads Train Station.
This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
