#Senior Quantity Surveyor - Eastern Green Link, North East

Murphy is currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our award-winning Energy team in the North East of England with project offices located in Durham. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide assistance, support, and advice on all commercial issues on Power, Transmission & Distribution projects such as Substations.

Following the ‘One Murphy’ approach, we’re able to deliver all aspects of the projects we work on. Murphy has designed, constructed, and commissioned projects for clients such as National Grid, SSE and Ørsted, on both transmission and distribution networks within the Energy sector.

Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required
Preparation of Valuations/Applications for Payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract
Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts
Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers
Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change
Use the cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor looking to step up.
Experience within a construction/engineering/similar and commercial background.
