We are looking to expand our Nursing offering at The Wolds Care Centre, Louth and are keen to receive applications from newly qualified or experienced Nurses.

We understand the importance of getting to know your residents and being able to focus on clinical care. Nursing is represented throughout HICA's management structure with our Operations Manager, Director of Operations and CEO all being nurse-qualified. They support at a local level to support the delivery of clinical excellence.


The Wolds Care Centre boasts platinum accreditation from the Gold Standards Framework for nursing and offers a range of training, including specialised end of life care.


Supported by our new Registered Manager, you will work collaboratively with Team Leaders and the care team to run your shift.

The Wolds Care Centre is a 66 bed Care Home situated on North Holme Road in Louth. The home provides a home for life within its specialist dementia, nursing and residential care communities.

All bedrooms are spacious, boasting their own en-suite with wet room and each room is furnished to a high standard.

Residents and their families are invited to personalise their rooms, creating their own unique environment, reflecting the individuality of the occupier.

The Centre has been designed around a Community Hub.

The home has the luxury of a café, garden room, shop, cinema, activity room, a multi activities room, library with WI-FI and internet access, and a sensory room.

Residents can also enjoy the use of the on-site hair & beauty salon, where not only can they get their hair styled but also make use of the pedicure and reflexology services available.

A multi-faith room is also provided which is used for regular services. A dedicated Activity Coordinator arranges for meaningful and engaging activities to be available daily, for everyone.

_*A day in the life:
*_

Usually spending your time on one community, you will be familiar with your residents and their individual needs.

You will work with a "buddy" whilst you complete all internal training and grow your confidence to operate with the autonomy you're afforded.


You will be part of an MDT approach to supporting residents, liaising with other health professionals such as GPs and dieticians, assessing plans for care and reviewing medication.

Our nurses play a pivotal role in supporting the person and their family.


Our nursing team work collaboratively with care and support roles across the service, external third parties and family to meet the holistic needs of residents.

Nursing is an all-inclusive role from doing PEG feeds, catheter care, syringe drivers, wound management, observations, through to complex behaviour management and creating a positive behaviour support plans.


Our nurses are also supported by a detailed daily handover and daily 'Safety Huddle' meetings to meet with representatives from all departments of the home.

It's during this time that important issues are discussed, and staff are given the opportunity to raise any concerns or communicate information.
