Working as a Logistics Operative you will be responsible for packaging, shipment and inventory management of optoelectronic components and IoT systems, ensuring efficient logistics within the business. Possibility of evolution towards a coordinator role with more responsibilities including the management of a small team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the packaging and shipment of optoelectronic components and IoT systems to customers
  • Packing of items as required, including ensuring suitable packaging techniques to protect fragile items
  • Act as the main contact for all outbound and inbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery
  • Liaise with our external shipping carriers and manufacturing colleagues to oversee collection and shipment
  • Providing shipping documentation such as commercial invoices/packing lists
  • Resolve any shipping related queries and track shipments to ensure they reach customers on time
  • Inventory management
  • Updating and maintaining ERP system with inventory and shipping transaction data

Required skills/experience:

  • Microsoft Office 365 knowledge
  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage workload appropriately to meet tight deadlines
  • A team player, with good communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Vacuum and/or ESD packing of goods
  • Inventory management experience (training will be given)
