Senior Commissioning Officer - Refugee Resettlement Fixed Term Contract - Until March 2027 Grade D - £45,091 – £53,460 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week Are you passionate about commissioning services for newly arriving communities and migrants? Do you want to play a role in the early settlement of people arriving via refugee resettlement schemes here in Birmingham? The Resettlement & Migration team at Birmingham City Council provides early intervention and integration support to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in the city. The Resettlement & Migration Team delivers these commitments through commissioned services, grants, partnerships and operations work. The team oversees a busy portfolio of contracts and grants as well as numerous other partnerships and relationships at a national and local level. The Resettlement & Migration team is seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Officer to manage our resettlement programmes. This involves: New commissioning Contracts management Grants management Coordination and oversight of complex operational procedures involving multiple and varied stakeholders The successful applicant will be compassionate, highly organised, self motivated, and an excellent all-round communicator. This is a unique, exciting and challenging role in a fast-paced and complex field with scope for long-term impact.
