Company Overview:
We are a small but growing aluminium fabrication company specializing in the manufacture of high-quality windows and doors. Our production is currently overseen by the Managing Director but as part of our expansion strategy, we are seeking an experienced Aluminium Factory Manager to take charge of our factory operations.
Job Description:
As the Factory Manager, you will be pivotal in driving the growth and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. With a focus on aluminium glazing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, inventory management, and staff supervision. This role requires significant experience in aluminium fabrication and proficiency with Evolution software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Oversee the manufacturing of aluminium windows and doors, including Sheerline profiles, ensuring production targets are met. Current output includes 4/5 bifold doors and 10 windows per week, with plans to double this output.
- Staff Supervision: Manage a team of 3 staff members, with a view to increasing the team to 6 or more. Provide training, support, and performance management.
- Inventory and Stock Control: Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems to ensure materials are available as needed and minimize waste.
- Procurement: Handle the purchasing of materials and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products meet our high standards of quality and are compliant with industry regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential: Extensive experience in aluminium glazing and fabrication.
- Essential: Proficiency with Evolution software.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
