As the Chapter Lead for Data Engineering, you will spearhead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy that empowers our business users across the globe. Your role is crucial in turning complex data into actionable insights and ensuring data assets are robust, reliable, and ready for strategic use.
Develop and execute data strategies in alignment with the company's goals.
# Lead the design and implementation of our data engineering frameworks on Azure Synapse, creating a unified version of truth.
# Drive the adoption of self-service tools and capabilities, enabling non-technical users to leverage data analytics for enhanced decision-making.
# Foster and chair collaborative forums across data engineering squads, setting global standards and methodologies for data handling and processes.
# Maintain a high-performance data services architecture that supports the company’s profitability and strategic objectives.
# Oversee the professional growth and operational efficiency of the data engineering team.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Solid experience in data engineering with a proven track record in leadership roles.
Technology: Mastery of Azure cloud services, including Data Factory, Data Bricks, Synapse, and Power BI. Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Python within a Spark environment.
Extensive experience in the financial services sector, preferably in insurance.
Leadership: Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and performance management.
