We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support our production departments by quickly diagnosing faults preventing them producing efficiently.
You will work as part of the maintenance team on site, reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will support our production departments by quickly diagnosing faults preventing them producing efficiently. You will work as a team with other onsite engineers, contractors and machine manufacturers as well as working alone when necessary. You will fault find and safely work on Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical systems within the site. You will assist production with new ideas, machine integration and modifications.
Within our production facility we have an extensive range of CNC controlled machines ranging from large 6KW laser cutting machines all the way down to 3D printers. Taking care of the plant equipment including compressed air, vacuum and processed cooling water also falls under the day-to-day tasks required by our team.

Carry out both mechanical and electrical fault finding, repair and maintenance work on plant and equipment.
Support production departments by keeping equipment running efficiently.
Ensure that repairs are carried out promptly and in line with production needs.
Organise and instruct contractors serving service contracts for site equipment.
Carry out all planned preventative maintenance in line with a schedule.
Assist with the installation of new plant equipment and machines.
Attend training to better yourself and the business.
Promote Lean Thinking in maintenance as well as production as you support them.
Carry out and update risk assessments.
You will be Apprentice-trained and qualified to at least NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
Be able to demonstrate experience of preventative and reactive maintenance activities and a good working knowledge of machine maintenance and operation.
IT literate with experience of software specific to machines and equipment
CAD experience is preferable to design and manufacture one off parts and tools to assist production.
An appreciation for and experience of modern problem-solving techniques and knowledge of lean manufacturing systems would be advantageous.
Valid Forklift truck, rigging and slinging, abrasive wheel and manual handling training would be preferable but not essential as training will be given.

44 per hour to £20.51 per hour (Dependant on experience) + £81.75 per week shift rate after qualifying period + Uniform + 26 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension + onsite parking as well as a cycle to work scheme + enhanced sick pay scheme + clear pay and progression framework and many other small perks. This role is full-time and permanent.
