Deputy Manager, Health, Safety and Compliance

This position supports the Health, Safety, and Compliance Manager and involves leading and taking responsibility for planning and delivering a health and safety service at the university. As the Deputy Health, Safety, and Compliance Manager, you will coordinate and implement health and safety strategies, standards, policies, and procedures for staff, students, and visitors.
You will also establish and implement a Health and Safety Management System to ensure compliance with legislation and governance requirements. Additionally, you will provide operational input on the health and safety agenda to employees, students and visitors, ensuring that relevant actions are in place and reviewed for continuous improvement. You will ensure that the University complies with health and safety requirements in legislation, processes, codes of practice, and other guidance.
The role requires flexibility to work across faculties and sites as directed and requires being on Campus a minimum of three days a week.
The interviews are currently anticipated to be held week commencing 12 January 2026.
