Our client, a leading defence and security company, is currently seeking a Senior Test Development Engineer to join their team in Glenrothes / Livingston, Scotland. They are a major supplier to the UK government and customers globally, also offering digital and training transformation solutions to both commercial and military clients.
Taking responsibility for the design and overall quality of the test equipment and providing leadership and guidance for junior engineers
Documenting design specifications and implementation details, participating in design reviews, and upholding design standards and methodologies
Ensuring complete implementation of detailed technical items and understanding/appreciation of system level items
Developing appropriate test hardware, test software, and procedures to prove the correct operation of hardware
Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or related subject (preferably at 2.Test software design experience
Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
Good knowledge of MS Office products
Must be eligible for MOD Security Clearance to a minimum of SC level
Significant test development experience in industry
Software Certification or detailed knowledge of: NI LabView, NI CVI, NI TestStand, C#
High speed serial networks
An appreciation of RF electronics
Flexible and adaptable
