Looking at the expenditure and the general performance of the function as a whole. You’ll be seeking areas of opportunity to gain greater value for money for the force while ensuring compliance within the regulations we adhere to. You will have a key role in the development of the procurement function for Leicestershire Police Key Responsibilities
- Providing professional advice and guidance to department and senior managers, Chief Officers and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
- Manage the procurement processes from end to end, writing specifications and consulting with key stakeholders
- You’ll be monitoring the performance of key contractors, providing reports, and taking corrective action when needed.
- Have experience of working within a procurement environment
- Experience of undertaking and managing tender processes, managing suppliers and contracts.
- Able to advise budget holders and senior managers
