We’re looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Support Services Department. You’ll provide advice to the force on the appropriate procurement procedures and contract management. Looking at the expenditure and the general performance of the function as a whole. You’ll be seeking areas of opportunity to gain greater value for money for the force while ensuring compliance within the regulations we adhere to. You will have a key role in the development of the procurement function for Leicestershire Police Key Responsibilities

  • Providing professional advice and guidance to department and senior managers, Chief Officers and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
  • Manage the procurement processes from end to end, writing specifications and consulting with key stakeholders
  • You’ll be monitoring the performance of key contractors, providing reports, and taking corrective action when needed.
The must haves
  • Have experience of working within a procurement environment
  • Experience of undertaking and managing tender processes, managing suppliers and contracts.
  • Able to advise budget holders and senior managers
