Electrical Design Engineer

6-12 Month Contract

Job Role

In this role you will contribute to the delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and high-quality design solutions for mechanical building services systems. To succeed in this role, you must be confident facing clients and have working knowledge of the delivery of mechanical building services installations

Exciting opportunity for a self-motivated electrical/EC&I engineer, with experience to contribute to project delivery from day one, but also desire to grow with the team in capability and responsibility.

The role is in our Public Sector Business, delivering energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects for large Public Sector bodies, principally the NHS, hotels, leisure centres, industrial clients, etc. Working alongside a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for preparing electrical and control engineering deliverables. Your contribution will span the full project lifecycle from site surveys and initial concept, through detailed design, to commissioning support and handover.

You will be a proficient electrical engineer, degree-qualified or equivalent, with experience in power distribution, control systems or building services. May also suit candidates from an electrical installation background who wish to move into a design role. Candidates should be able to demonstrate working knowledge of a broad range of technologies such as generators, heat pumps, transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing, controls & instrumentation.

You will be a team player and be expected to collaborate closely with other engineers and teams across the company.

The role entails hybrid working with attendance if required at suitable nearest offices (Stockport/Windsor).Candidates must be prepared to travel UK-wide on occasion as site surveys and installation quality checks will be expected.
