Interim Finance Director

FWB are partnering with a international manufacturing manufacturing client to recruit an Interim Finance Director / Chief Financial Officer.

As the Finance Director you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation, ensuring the financial control, reporting and governance underpins exceptional commercial business partnering and decision support in the value creation and scale-up of this UK and European wide manufacturing business.

You will collaborate closely with the CEO, production and commercial leaders, as well as other key stakeholders internally and externally to drive value creation, investment opportunities and overall improved margin growth.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Financial Control, Reporting, and Governance:

· Develop, improve and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures across all sites to ensure consistency of reporting and compliance with internal standards.

· Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, management reports, and KPIs to provide accurate and timely financial information for decision-making.

· Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimise financial performance and mitigate risks.

· Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.

Commercial Performance Management:

· Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to analyse margins, site performance, and profitability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance financial outcomes.

· Conduct labour analysis to optimise staffing levels, productivity, and efficiency while controlling labour costs across operational site and manufacturing operations.

· Oversee manufacturing accounting activities, including cost analysis, overhead allocation, and variance analysis, to support operational decision-making and cost optimisation.

· Identify opportunities for leveraging technology solutions, such as ERP systems and data analytics, to drive synergies between sites, streamline processes, and enhance productivity.

Location:

This opportunity is based on-site in Glasgow and will require, for the interim opportunity, 4-5 days on-site.

Permanent Opportunity:

A process for the permanent opportunity will begin in time, however the focus now is on the interim requirement only.
