Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Electronics Engineer Medway £ Competitive Our client are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their team and play a key role in the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge electronics systems for automotive applications. They are a global leader in advanced propulsion systems, providing innovative solutions to the automotive industry. Duties include: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications for automotive electronics systems. Design and develop electronic hardware, including schematic capture, layout, and prototyping. Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to evaluate design concepts and ensure functionality, reliability, and performance. Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and verification to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. Coordinate and support hardware testing and validation activities, including test plan development and execution. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the successful implementation of hardware designs. Participate in design reviews, contribute to design improvements, and provide technical guidance to team members. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. The successful candidate will have / be: Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in electronics hardware design, preferably in automotive or related industries. Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools, such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro. Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, mixed-signal systems, and power electronics. Experience with simulation tools, such as SPICE, for circuit analysis and verification. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 and automotive EMC requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex technical issues. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
