They are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance and Resources team. This role will report directly to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.

Main Duties:

  • Financial Reporting - Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and provide insights for the monthly reporting process.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting - Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis on financial performance.
  • Cost Analysis - Conduct cost analysis and prepare reports to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Accounts Reconciliation - Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including stock reconciliation and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Data Management - Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by maintaining and updating databases.
  • Expense Management - Monitor departmental expenditure to ensure costs remain within budgeted limits.
  • Financial Compliance - Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis - Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required by senior management.
  • Process Improvement - Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on reporting, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
