This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to lead the Contract Management and Performance function, providing vital business assurance to the Prison Director while adhering to HMPPS and Mitie policies. You will manage a dynamic team responsible for ICT, Health, Safety, Fire, Litigation, Audits, Performance, Complaints, Finance, Resourcing, Staff Training, and Catering. You will develop and implement health and safety policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and achieve Prison performance targets. Additionally, you will design impactful training programmes, drive initiatives, and deliver formal audit outcomes while investigating incidents and managing IT investments effectively, making a significant impact in this crucial role
The role involves integrating HMCIP ‘Expectations' into policies and raising staff awareness. Participation in Mitie initiatives, including succession planning, is required. They will lead performance measures, contract outcomes, and target achievement, ensuring compliance with policies. Responsibilities include delivering a minimum of Level 3 HMIP ratings, managing risks, and maximizing operational resources. They will oversee key projects and ensure the Annual Custodial Service Delivery Plan's delivery. As a Senior Management Team member, they will undertake additional duties to ensure effective prison operations.
Experience in line management, supporting, and coaching staff to achieve effective results across multiple functions is essential.
Proven track record in performance improvement and managing key performance indicators to enhance service delivery.
Commercial and financial acumen, including budget management and driving financial efficiencies.
