Senior Mechanical Engineer

gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Lead Mechanical Technician / Engineer to work at their facility based near Wrexham
Performance Objectives
Work closely with the Engineering Manager to deliver on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the department.
Provide support to the Engineering Team Manager during busy periods.
Review daily planned activity with the Engineering Team Manager to maximise labour utilisation and machine downtime opportunities.
Take the lead and review with the team, Machine condition/performance, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure team members take accountability and ownership of any assigned actions and work towards a suitable resolution. Complete reactive /corrective actions returning equipment to standard output, quality and waste levels following fault diagnosis.
Conduct continuous machine observation and measurement, identifying potential failure or deterioration in output, waste or quality performance from standard.
Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and complete remedial work briefing Engineering Team on issue, cause and recommended solution.ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3 or equivalent Engineering qualification.
Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work independently,
Experience in condition monitoring disciplines - thermal imaging, vibration monitoring and oil analysis.
SAP PM Experience, or other CMMS system.
Experience of working in a fast paced / FMCG environment is preferable but not required.Please send your CV via the Apply now option on the website
