Astute's Renewables team is proudly partnering with a leading EPC company in the utility-scale Solar and BESS market, that are committed to professional development and sustainability. Together we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing design team and participate in a growing pipeline of solar and BESS projects.

The Senior Electrical Engineer role comes with a salary up to £60,000, KPI driven bonus, company benefits and remote working.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will:

Participate in design projects from sales phase to construction and commissioning, reviewing electrical calculations and installation designs.
Perform electrical design activities for DC and AC installations of solar and BESS projects.
Ensure engineering designs are completed within planned timescales and read design specifications and technical drawings.
Evaluate technical specifications in tender documents, reviewing risks and implications of requirements.
Manage relationships with key project members, also supporting sales and purchasing with technical descriptions, datasheet validation, and BOM generation.
Develop substation layouts, SLDs, wiring schematics, cable sizing calculations, earthing layouts, protection schemes, and cable containment solutions.

HNC/ HND, BSc, BEng in electrical discipline required.
Experience in the renewables industry, with solar/ BESS projects, DNO, ICP or similar.
Good knowledge of electrical design software (eplan or similar).
Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
Full driving license.
