We are currently looking for an experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to join the Food & Beverage team at a 5 star Hotel in Kelso. This is a permanent, full-time position. There is accommodation available to rent. The Head Waiter/Waitress will support the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day running and ensures the smooth delivery of service and creating an exceptional and memorable food and beverage experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
- To work as part of a team, supporting and helping each other with developing and operating all aspects of the business.
- You will deliver a memorable food and beverage experience for our guests, assisting them with menu choices in an informative and enthusiastic way.
- Attitude is to be second to none so ensure a friendly, professional, helpful, and courteous service to the customer always: and the same to your colleagues.
- Provide effective delivery while maintaining quantity and quality throughout service. · Collect and have clean equipment for all aspect of your Mise-en-place.
- To adhere to all Health & Safety, Emergency, Fire and Hygiene procedures in accordance with company policy and government regulations.
- You will maintain the highest standards of service and presentation throughout the Restaurants and Bar service periods.
- You will maintain consistent and effective communication with all departments to ensure the smooth running of the F&B service.
- Be confident in and control cash handling and cash up procedures in line with policies and procedure, ensuring that any queries are rectified with accounts in a timely manner.
- You will actively manage on the floor while building a rapport with colleagues and guests.
- Support management with stock takes, organisation and counting.
- You will contribute to ideas and initiatives to develop our quality of service and increase revenue in the department.
- You will give regular feedback and recognition to team members.
- You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and relationships.
- You are incredibly motivated and take pride in your work.
- You have a passion for and understanding of 5-star hospitality and delivering exceptional service
- You have strong organisational and leadership qualities
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- You can work well under pressure in a fast paced and changing environment
- Minimum of 2-years’ experience in Food & Beverage or the hospitality industry
- Previous experience as a restaurant section holder within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience,knowledge and understanding in the luxury hospitality industry.
- Share of gratuities on a pro-rata basis
- 30 days paid holiday after 1 year of service
