The site will feature purpose-built studios and creative workspaces. With an exclusive members' bar, co-working area, music production suites, podcast and DJ studios, private offices, and a fully equipped content studio, Qube South will be the ultimate creative destination in the heart of Elephant Park.

We’re looking for a Head Bartender to lead the operations of the members-only bar in our new south London venue. Your main responsibility will be to oversee the daily operation of the bar, working alongside senior management and team members to ensure that the highest level of customer service is being delivered and the expectations of our members are consistently exceeded.
You will also be point of contact and Duty Manager at all events (private hires, members events etc.) so will work with the General Manager to liaise with clients ahead of time and then deliver these events on the ground. We will hire additional staff dependent on the needs of each event, so the ability to train and lead a tight-knit bar team is essential. Flexible: Expectation to work any events that finish at 1:00 AM (plus cleandown time). There may also be earlier starts for events, so flexibility is required.
Bar Management:
Oversee the general day-to-day management and operation of the bar.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitised bar environment.
Establish strong and professional relationships with our members, ensuring that excellent service is delivered at all times.

Event Duty Management:
Work alongside the General Manager ahead of events to prepare event briefs and understand the bar/service needs for each event.
Help maintain and train a high service and efficient roster of freelance bar staff to work events alongside you.
Liaise with clients on the ground at each event, accommodating their needs and leading your team to exceed expectations.

Stock and Inventory:
Receive deliveries for stock and inventory as needed.
Place orders for inventory based on business needs and budgets.
Maintain bar stock and report shortages to the General Manager for ordering, including variables like glasses and equipment.

Customer Service:
Address any complaints confidently and find appropriate solutions.
Work alongside the General Manager to create new cocktails and drink offerings in line with the company brand.
Operate as Events Lead and point of contact throughout all events.

Regulatory Compliance:
~ Ensure all legal requirements are adhered to, including Wage and Hour/Breaks, Health and Safety, etc.


Light Food Service:
~ Assist with some light food service as required, such as prepping small plates, no kitchen experience necessary.

Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation and bar management.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
A passion for music and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
A Food & Hygiene Level 2 certificate would be beneficial though training and qualifications will be provided for the right candidate.
