The Role

Here at SecureCloud+ we are seeking a talented and dedicated Project Manager to join our team based out of our Stoke on Trent site.

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful completion of projects for the organisations end customers. As the Project Manager you will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the assigned fixed price projects are delivered for Defence Partners delivering into the MoD are completed on time and within the boundaries of profitability.

Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Defining, shaping, leading and delivering Projects within a client portfolio as assigned
  • The management of assigned projects to ensure costs, time, scope and quality are controlled, baselined and assurance is made to ensure delivery follows the agreed plan
  • Effective Stakeholder Management including Project Board creation, liaison with other key organisation service providers and 3rd party organisations where appropriate
  • Risk Management and Issue Management including escalation as necessary. Escalating promptly any issues that may in future have an impact on delivery.
  • The creation, maintenance and effective use of Management Products including PIDs, Plans, RAID & Communication Plans to shape delivery such the cost, time, scope and quality are planned to a baseline, and delivery follows the plan.
  • To undertake Project Definition Workshops, risk workshops and product workshops
  • The accounting for project cost, time, scope, quality and budget
  • To manage changes to cost, time, scope and quality in a controlled way, including working with the organisations Finance and Governance where such changes impact project budget.
  • To ensure business continuity by maintaining effective project documentation and daily action logging
  • Maintain customer and SC+ internal weekly reporting methods such that project status and progress is accurate and understood at all levels.
  • To provide accurate and targeted reporting on project status
  • The management of multi-disciplined project team with matrix reports.
  • The booking and management of resources required for project delivery
  • Maintain separation of delivery and business as usual and promote these concepts with stakeholders.
  • Adhering to the organisations Portfolio, Programme and Project Governance
  • To support the pre-sales team where required.
  • To support the PMO and the Project Management team across key engagements as part of the QA / support structure for individuals, ensuring that the following are contributed towards:
  • Project Services Peer Reviews (for documents and project products)
  • Project Services Processes (guidance and on-going review)
  • Project Financials
  • To deliver on accountabilities and KPIs agreed separately with the Head of Projects
  • Ensure the correct start up and management of the project, implementing the organisations model and agreed procedures
  • The effective risk management (to anticipate issues) via identify, assess, plan, implement and monitor.
  • The continued Business Justification via End stage gate reviews, acceptance procedures and project board and customer approvals.

Education and Experience Requirements

As the Project Manager, you will have:

  • An appropriate IT or Business Degree or equivalent
  • A PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification, or a background in Project management to practitioner level
  • 2 years plus relevant experience in IT or related industry, focused on resource management
  • Experience of running projects successfully using a Waterfall and/or Agile approach
  • Experience of ITIL, Acceptance into Service processes
  • Experience working with Microsoft Project

Following initial online interviews, onsite interviews will take place on September 23rd, September 25th, and October 2nd, 2024.

UKSV is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.

To be eligible for UKSV you must be a UK National and/or have been a UK Resident for 5+ years.
