Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Nesscliff Camp, Shropshire.
As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.
We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.
You will be required to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.
Contract - Permanent
20 per annum, once you have completed successful probation and have the required skills for the role your salary will increase. Package DescriptionLandmarc will provide you with a competitive salary; Pension
Landmarc offers all employees an opportunity to join our company stakeholder pension scheme, whereby the company will contribute up to 8% of the employee’s salary.
Holiday
Employees are entitled to 25 days’ pro rata during each year of employment plus public holidays. Three extra discretionary days added to our annual leave allowances at Christmas.

* Main ResponsibilitiesTo ensure that the Training Estate Facilities are fit for purpose in accordance with the allocation and ensure compliance with the TESC service modules e.g.:
preparing training areas for use
housekeeping
driving and operating fleet vehicles
To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work e.g.:
Warning systems including training control offices, radar and flags
Report and deal with unauthorised persons on the Training Area Estate.
To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective training area delivery e.g.:
Handover/ take back of facilities with service users including providing information on ‘maximising’ the facility,
The Employers representatives regarding training area safety and usage
Direct and advise wider training estate users including the general public.
The Ideal CandidateFull driving licence valid in the United Kingdom
Knowledge of Health and Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Experience as a range/ training area user (not essential)
Basic labouring, caretaking and housekeeping skills
Complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard - this is compulsory for all personnel who work for Landmarc Support Services Limited as Official Defence Contractors
