Technical Sales Adviser

Location: Office based, Cambridgeshire, some national and international travel.

Viridian Solar is a leader in the design, manufacture and supply of roof integrated solar panels. A significant growth in demand for our products has created a requirement for someone to join our sales team, helping our customers to achieve higher levels of energy efficiency in their new build and refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities include advising customers by telephone, specifying solar PV systems and producing quotations and technical drawings. You will be outgoing, numerate and technically minded, with a good telephone manner. The ability to interpret technical drawings is crucial. Prior knowledge of renewable energy is not required, as training will be provided.

Due to our international expansion, we are particularly interested to hear from candidates with Dutch, French, Italian or German language skills.

Responsibilities
  • Advising customers by telephone / email
  • Clarifying customer requirements
  • Assessment of project drawings and specifications
  • Preparing and marking up AutoCAD schematic drawings
  • Designing PV systems
  • Preparing quotations and technical communications
  • Closing the sale and liaising with the post-sales team
  • Working within customer / project database
  • Occasionally representing Viridian Solar at design meetings
Attributes
  • Numerate and good with Excel spreadsheets
  • Organised, accurate, with a good attention to detail
  • Technically competent, AutoCAD experience would be an advantage
  • Presentable
  • Approachable, sociable and a reliable team player
  • Fluent Dutch, French or German speaker would be an advantage
  • Adaptable
  • Self-starting, showing initiative to close profitable opportunities
