Job description

Position Title: UKEC Financial Analyst

Full-time, permanent position at Bridge of Don.

Main Purpose of Role:

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the comprehensive, accurate, and timely recording, collation, and preparation of financial information for UKEC and its related legal entities in accordance with approved group and company requirements. The incumbent will ensure compliance with all financial, legal, and internal group and company deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the UKEC Financial Controller & Regional VP of Finance to deliver the regional strategy and business plan.
  • Assist in the timely and accurate preparation and submission of the UKEC Quarterly Business Review (QBR) slide pack and ad hoc presentations.
  • Collate and assist in the timely and accurate preparation and submission of Flash reporting for the UKEC region.
  • Aid in the preparation and submission of Forecast reporting for the UKEC region.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of the Annual Plan for the UKEC region.
  • Support the production of compliant statutory accounts for the UKEC region.
  • Review the timely and accurate preparation and submission of UKEC Regional monthly management accounts, including supporting balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis for UKEC entities.
  • Analyse variances to Plan and forecast.
  • Assist with the balance sheet reconciliation and review process to minimize financial risk within the UKEC region.
  • Prepare and submit the Capex tracker for the UKEC region.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of the Cash Flow Forecast for the UKEC region.
  • Support annual and quarterly statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with Group Finance Reporting requirements such as Tax simplification initiatives, Tax disclosure packs, and Hire Fleet utilization reports.
  • Perform any other related or associated roles, tasks, or duties as required, following safety protocols and changing business requirements.

Person Specification:

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of accounting principles.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and nested formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new concepts.
  • Comfortable working with data-intensive spreadsheets.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications and Certification:

  • Minimum of an Undergraduate Degree in a relevant discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience.

Personal Qualities:

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Adaptability to changing environments and commitment to meeting deadlines.
