Fleetex Ltd is seeking a dedicated HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate within a bustling workshop environment, responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring vehicles and trailers are in optimal condition.
*HGV Technician / Mechanic*
The position is a full-time permanent role
- Perform maintenance and repairs across all levels, including diagnostics.
- Hold CAT C & E Licence (preferable).
- Conduct routine maintenance adhering to VOSA/DVSA standards.
- Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspections.
- Utilise computer-based diagnostic equipment for vehicle diagnosis.
- Possess experience in working with modern heavy commercial vehicles and trailers, with knowledge in electrics and hydraulics being advantageous.
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping to meet health & safety regulations.
- Varied shift pattern:*
- Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:30 am - 04:30 pm.
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 07:30 am - 05:30 pm, Saturday 07:30 am - 12:30 pm.
- Week 3: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 am - 04:30 pm.
- Week 4: Monday to Friday, 07:30 am - 05:30 pm, Saturday 07:30 am - 12:30 pm.
*Competitive salary: £25 per hour, with overtime at £27.38 per hour.
