Nimbus seeks a highly-qualified SC Cleared Senior Oracle DevOps Engineer to join its esteemed team.

In this critical role, you will:

  • Spearhead all Oracle-related tasks and deliverables, ensuring their successful completion.
  • Play a key role in managing, supporting, and potentially designing and building the infrastructure that underpins critical internal user services and the Oracle Connected Environment (OCE) hosting platform.
  • Champion robust development processes by overseeing tools, testing environments, and promoting a culture of high-quality code production.
  • Deliver and optimise OCE services to maximise their value for MODCloud customers.
  • Develop and implement a robust Continuous Deployment and Integration Pipeline to streamline operations.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of essential MODCloud Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, including JIRA, Confluence, and Sharepoint.
  • Foster knowledge transfer by upskilling Crown Servants and providing exceptional handover documentation and processes.

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • Current and Live SC Clearance
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) across various functionalities including the OCI console, networking (VCNs, Subnets, NSGs, Security Lists), compute, storage, compartments, User groups, and policies.
  • Proven expertise in Build, Test, Release, and Deploy (BTDR) methodologies utilising CI/CD tools within an OCI environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and the OCI CLI for scripting automation.
  • Solid understanding of Terraform stack deployment using Oracle Resource Manager.
  • Practical experience with OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will further strengthen your candidacy:

  • Experience working with other public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud PaaS services, including Oracle Autonomous Database and Logging Analytics.
  • The ability to develop serverless functions within the OCI environment.
  • A coveted Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2023 Developer Professional Certification.
