Reporting to the Head of Legal. This is a senior management role, as such a key member of the team, you will play a fundamental part in shaping the future success of the legal function. This is a broad legal and commercial role reflecting the innovative multi-disciplinary approach of the business.

The role will require the candidate to manage a broad spectrum of commercial legal work. The successful candidate will be reviewing, drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts including new customer services outsourcing contracts, customer contract renewals, general procurement contracts, IT contracts, and deal with general enquiries from the business. Additionally, you will be responsible for the delivery of commercially focused legal advice and support to the business. Other responsibilities will include dealing with an understanding of commercial landlord and tenant, public procurement, and TUPE.

The candidate must bring a proactive, business and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters and a proven ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and legal team.

The successful candidate will have at least 8 PQE, having trained in a top UK law firm. Experience within the logistics, manufacturing, environmental services, water industry and other sectors with a focus on services outsourcing and infrastructure development would be advantageous, but not essential. Familiarity with key standard form of commercial contracts is desirable.
