Our client is currently seeking a talented and driven M&A Associate to join their Energy Transition team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in high-profile M&A transactions focused on the growing sectors of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure. As part of a leading advisory firm, you will support transactions shaping the future of the global energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • M&A Transaction Support : Assist in all phases of M&A deals within the energy transition space, from initial analysis through to deal execution, including financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation.
  • Due Diligence & Market Analysis : Lead and support due diligence processes, gathering and analyzing data on companies in renewable energy, clean technologies, and sustainable infrastructure.
  • Transaction Execution : Coordinate the execution of transactions, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones, and working closely with senior bankers and clients.
  • Sector Research : Stay up to date on market developments in the energy transition, renewable technologies, and regulatory changes, advising clients on the most impactful trends and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in M&A or investment banking, ideally with a focus on energy transition, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with a deep understanding of corporate finance and energy sector dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams, with an acute attention to detail.
