Job Title: Lead Engineer - Integration & Test

Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting a key part of a national endeavour to provide an essential capability in to the latest, most technically advanced, Submarine the UK has ever built supporting the submarine Continuous At Sea Deterrent (CASD)
Integrating the External Communications System (ECS) into Astute Class platform
Supporting all the ECS set to work activities providing the assurance that the system is fully capable for Sea Trials
Supporting the Technical Authority in being responsible for the technical acceptability (including technical assurance) of the submarine External Communications System (ECS)
Managing Sub Contractors to integrate the External Comms within the Astute class platform
Collaborating with all stakeholders across the Submarine Enterprise
Your skills and experiences:
HNC/Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in an electrical/mechanical/systems design bias
Systems integration experience and technology /system readiness levels
Knowledge of the Engineering and Product lifecycle
Experience in the defence environment for External Communications System utilising the full frequency spectrum
Experience of fault-finding investigations/diagnosis

External Communications System team:
Y ou will be part of the Astute engineering team responsible for ensuring equipment is fit for purpose, meets functional and non-functional requirements and is safe, capable and assured meeting the demands of our customer and supporting the Submarine Flotilla commitments.
This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to influence the design of the very latest submarine class and play a key role within submarine communications. Working directly for the Engineering Manager and within the Astute delivery program you would be part of a dynamic high performing and delivery focused team, with wide ranging opportunity for personal and professional development.
