As a Lead Data Engineer you will be leading and liaising with dynamic, passionate across functional teams, where collaboration as a team is key.

As the Lead Data Engineer /Software Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of Software Engineers and QAs specialising in Data Ingestion. In addition to writing code on complex systems and applications, this position provides direction on project plans, schedules, and methodologies. The role will be 25% hands on and 75% people management.

Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
Mentoring and/or train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management.
Serving as the initial point of escalation for software development issues within specific area of responsibility

Have experience of working with Databases SQL Server, MYSQL, Hadoop, Oracle or any other RDBMS.
Be able to demonstrate proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
Be able to design and work with complex data models.
Have experience working with with Data ingestion, but not limited to standard ETL techniques.
