We are a dynamic and innovative company committed to delivering safe and efficient solutions to meet the energy needs of our customers. As the largest facility in the UK for importing and exporting refrigerated propane, our operations are critical to ensuring a reliable supply of LPG nationwide.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production & Operations Manager to lead our 24/7 operational shift teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our process plant, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing the availability of LPG supply. Maintain high standards, ensuring compliance with all plant operation and SHE procedures and Calor Specifications.
Lead the Operations teams in the safe and time-bound completion of duties on high-pressure, cryogenic plant and equipment.
Ensure the sustainability of safe systems of work through the maintenance of Operating Instructions, risk assessments, and the Permit to Work system.
Manage terminal stock inventories, monitoring, and reporting on stock positions daily.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, implementing visual performance management and problem-solving techniques.
Develop a motivated workforce, driving performance excellence and delivering cost efficiencies.
Ensure the Operations team is appropriately trained, competent, and flexible to meet workload requirements.
Ensure accurate data recording to support management and regulatory reporting KPIs.
Monitor workforce operational performance, implement Performance Improvement Plans as required.
Supervise and manage the delivery performance of the Operations team, addressing sickness, discipline, and performance issues.
Monitor and review the delivery performance of maintenance and/or site operations, ensuring services are delivered safely, on time, and within budgets.
Conduct site safety visits, ensuring effective setting to work and control documentation implementation.
Implement and control the Management of Change process, ensuring compliance and reporting.
IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification (desirable).
Demonstrable leadership and people management skills.
Planning and organizational skills with a good appreciation of relevant IT and software systems.
Working knowledge of Risk Assessment, COSHH, Work Instructions & Incident Investigation.
