Technical Release Manager – London - Energy

Elysium Talent represent some of the most exciting and innovative companies in the world. This role is working for a leader in the Energy domain and they are now looking for an experienced Technical Release Manager.

Role Overview:

The Technical Release Manager role has come about due to growth. You will have a focus on Security practices, automation, infrastructure and you will provide solutions to the development teams to help with 3rd party developments.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about best practices within technology teams.

Day to day:

  • You will oversee the e2e release process for all software deployments.
  • You will work closely with other teams (development, QA, operations etc) to streamline release activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including release notes, change logs, and deployment guides.
  • Implement and manage release verification protocols, meeting the highest quality standards before deployment.
  • Manage and optimise release management tools and software, ensuring they meet the team and organisation's needs.
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement: To analyse and refine the release management process,
  • Ensure all releases comply with relevant regulatory and organisational standards
  • Provide post-release support, working with relevant teams to resolve any issues.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience in release management, DevOps, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Background: Strong technical background with experience in software development, systems administration, or IT operations.
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
  • Version Control Systems: Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Automation and Scripting: Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Shell Scripting , Python etc).
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with a track record of successfully managing complex release cycles.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and implementing best practices for secure software delivery.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in DevOps and release management
