Potential for Permanent Placement and Family-Friendly Hours
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with academic, personal, and social development in specialised settings located in and around Harrogate. This role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring a reflexive approach to learners and their needs, as well as a creative and proactive mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment and possess emotional resilience and the ability to engage students who may have had negative experiences with education.
Assisting in small class groups or providing individual support to help students access the curriculum
• Providing emotional support when needed
• Have experience in a similar environment or working with young people who may present challenging behaviours
• Be proactive, creative, and empathetic
• Be able to follow detailed behaviour support plans (BSPs) and individual learning plans (ILPs)
• Adhere to the school's policies and practises
• Ideally, be Team Teach trained (training offered by our in-house trainers)
Excellent pay rates, paid weekly through PAYE
• Ongoing support and training during placements
